HONOUR IRELAND’S PATRIOT DEAD
Press Release from Tyrone National Graves Association; 7th April 2020
Brian Cawley, Chairperson of Tyrone National Graves, has urged Tyrone republicans to honour their Patriot Dead this Easter.
Mr Cawley said
“2020 is an Easter like no other. With the ongoing Covid-19 emergency, we urge everyone to follow public health guidelines. As previously publicised, all Easter commemorations normally organised by Tyrone National Graves Association and 1916 Societies are cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation. We take this opportunity to extend our continued sympathy and solidarity to the families all Tyrone’s republican dead. If we can assist you in any way at this time please do not hesitate to contact us.”
“The sacrifice made by Ireland’s Patriot Dead must always be remembered. At Easter we commemorate their sacrifice and reflect on the ideals and principles enshrined in the 1916 proclamation. This year marks the 104th Anniversary of the Easter Rising and I would urge you all to wear your Easter Lily with pride. We look forward to better times in the future as we keep alive the memory of all our Patriot Dead. Stay Safe.”
